At 5minutefilings, we strive to provide fast, efficient, and accurate document preparation and filing services. If you need to request a cancellation or refund, our policy is structured based on the status of your order and the services utilized.
1. Document Preparation & Filing Services
Our refund eligibility for document preparation depends entirely on how far along your order is in our system:
- Incomplete Orders: You have up to 60 days from your original purchase date to request a full refund, provided our team has not yet completed your documents.
- Completed Orders: If your documents have already been completed and made available for download, or have been mailed to you, you have 7 days from the completion date to request a refund.
- Submitted/Filed Products: If your order involves submitting paperwork to a government agency (such as the Secretary of State), you may request a refund within 60 days of purchase only if we have not yet submitted your paperwork to the relevant agency. Once your documents have been submitted to the government, the order is final and no longer eligible for a refund.
2. Subscription Services & Business Forms
For ongoing subscriptions, compliance services, or access to our digital form libraries:
- 30-Day Window: You are eligible to request a full refund within 30 days of your initial subscription purchase.
- Usage Caveat: This refund eligibility is immediately voided if you utilize the core service within that 30-day window. For example, you cannot receive a refund if you have already downloaded a business form, generated a customized business summary, or used an active subscription feature.
3. Non-Refundable Fees
Even if your order qualifies for a refund under the guidelines above, the following external costs are strictly non-refundable:
- Government Fees: Any state filing fees, government taxes, or processing costs incurred after your paperwork has been submitted.
- Third-Party Fees: Merchant processing fees or independent third-party vendor charges.
- External Professional Fees: Any fees paid directly to independent network attorneys or outside consultants.

To submit a refund request, please contact our support team directly on our website or reply to your order confirmation email with your order details. All requests are reviewed within 2 to 3 business days.
